In-House Lab Draws
In-House Lab Draws
Bloodwork is often the fastest way to understand what's going on with your health, and having it drawn during your visit saves you an extra trip. At Arkansas Family Medicine, routine lab specimens are collected right here in our Little Rock office and sent out for processing, so your care team can review results and follow up with you promptly.
When Lab Draws Are Typically Needed
- Annual wellness visits — bloodwork is often part of a routine physical or preventive checkup.
- Chronic disease management — regular labs help track conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, or high cholesterol over time.
- Women's health and family planning — certain lab tests support these areas of care.
- Sick visits — bloodwork can help identify what's causing new or ongoing symptoms.
Part of a Fuller Picture
Lab draws are often paired with other on-site tools, such as point-of-care urinalysis, pulse oximetry, or blood pressure and vitals monitoring, to give your provider a more complete view of your health during a single appointment. Once results are available, you can review them securely through our digital patient portal.
