Minor Procedures
Minor Procedures
Arkansas Family Medicine offers minor procedures as part of everyday primary care, so many common skin and soft-tissue concerns can be addressed during a regular office visit rather than requiring a separate specialist referral. These visits are typically quick, performed in a familiar setting, and folded into the same appointment as a check-up or sick visit when appropriate.
Conditions Commonly Managed
- Skin tags and warts — small growths that patients often want removed for comfort or cosmetic reasons.
- Minor cysts and lesions — superficial bumps or blemishes evaluated and treated in office.
- Small wounds and lacerations — cleaning, closure, and follow-up care for minor cuts.
- Ingrown nails — simple in-office treatment to relieve pain and prevent infection.
What Happens During Your Visit
Dr. Alison Richardson, M.D., and our team of Family Nurse Practitioners provide minor procedure care as part of routine family medicine. On-site cryotherapy is available to support minor dermatologic procedures performed during your visit, allowing many issues to be treated without an additional trip.
Getting Started
If you have a skin concern, small wound, or similar issue you'd like evaluated, simply schedule a visit with our office. Your provider will examine the area and discuss whether an in-office minor procedure is a good option for you.
