Immunizations

Vaccines help protect against illnesses that can be serious, especially for young children, older adults, and people managing chronic health conditions. At Arkansas Family Medicine in Little Rock, our physician and nurse practitioners administer seasonal flu shots and a full range of immunizations on site, so patients of all ages can stay current on recommended vaccines as part of their regular care.

Who Provides Immunizations

Dr. Alison Richardson, M.D., along with our team of Family Nurse Practitioners — Emily Fry, Kristyn Lambert, Amanda Stark, Kimberly LaFlora, and Kristy Thompson — are available to discuss vaccine needs and administer immunizations during your visit.

What to Expect

  • Seasonal Flu Shots — Offered on site for patients looking to stay protected during flu season.
  • Routine Immunizations — A full range of vaccines is available for children, adults, and seniors.
  • Vitals Check — Blood pressure and vitals monitoring may be part of your visit alongside your immunization.

When to Schedule

Many patients add immunizations to an annual wellness visit or physical, while others come in specifically for a seasonal flu shot or a vaccine required for school, work, or travel. If you are unsure which immunizations you may need, our care team can help you review your history and plan ahead.
